Kevin Fitzpatrick

BA Landscape Architecture, Masters LA, MILI

Kevin was educated in Landscape Architecture in Manchester Metropolitan University and UCD. He held a position as Associate Landscape Architect in one of the largest and longest established practices in the country. Kevin set up KFLA in 2005, a practice that would reflect his own personal landscape design ethos. He has considerable experience in the field of landscape architecture having worked as Project Landscape Architect on wide range of schemes varying in scale, type, location and built form. Kevin was a design tutor for 12 years on the Landscape Architecture course at UCD.

Simone Kennedy

BSc Agricultural Science (Landscape Architecture),MILI

Simone studied Landscape Architecture in University College Dublin before joining one of the leading landscape architecture practices in the country. There she held the position of Senior Landscape Architect and gained extensive experience as a team leader and working on a range of large-scale projects. Simone has been with KFLA since 2006 and has been responsible for many projects, from design through to construction, including urban design and regeneration, public parks and open spaces and open spaces for schools and healthcare projects. Simone has a particular interest in planting design, which she has tutored on the Landscape Architecture course at UCD. She has developed this interest further to design and develop natural and sustainable spaces.

Matthew Mulvey

BSc Landscape Architecture, MILI

Matthew attended University College Dublin, graduating in Landscape Architecture in 2017. He joined KFLA shortly after graduating. He has experience on a wide range of projects including Housing and Apartment projects, Ecological Design, Commercial Design, Public Parks and Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment. Matthew is working as a Senior Landscape Architect on a variety of jobs at both Planning and Construction level. His main interest as a landscape architect is ecological design, particularly native landscapes and ecosystems, and how we can design ecologically sensitive but usable landscapes.

John McCord

BSc Landscape Architecture

After completing his studies in Landscape Architecture at UCD, John pursued his passion for design and has been a Landscape Architect with KFLA since his graduation in 2020. With a keen interest in sensitive planting design, John seeks to create meaningful spaces focused strongly on the protection and enhancement of existing ecologically and landscape features. During his time with KFLA, he has demonstrated his proficiency across a diverse spectrum of projects ranging from smaller intimate spaces/communal open spaces right through to large scale residential and commercial developments.
